How to get (Ped.) at start of new system when there are retakes?

Dear all,

how can I get the ‘(Ped.)’ in parentheses to show up at the beginning of new systems when there are retakes in the previous system?

What (combination of) options should I set up in Engraving Options?

I think its just Engraving Options > Pedal Lines > Design > Continuation > With parentheses?

I just tried it with success anyway.

I have indeed set it so, but it is not showing anything, as the picture shows.

I wonder if the retakes are playing a prank on me? Or do you see it also if you have retakes?

EDIT: sorry, false alarm: the line as shown above is too short to make the pedal appear. Problem is that I need it to end with the first note. It would be nice if we had an option to align the start of the continuation line with the systemic barline.
