How to get rid of note names in the MIDI editor?

I’m working with Cubase 15, never had those show up. Then I opened a very old project which was originally created in Cubase 5, and now suddenly every MIDI note has the C1, D1, etc. in it which I want to get rid of.

Please direct me to the setting which can toggle this on/off. Thank you in advance.

Oh I’d like these (Cubase 15).
I’ll have a look around the preferences see how you got them.

Simply zoom in vertically if you want to see them, zoom out if you don’t.

I’ll try the expand thingy that Steve posted above.
I’ve never really noticed the note labels showing up. Probably just me.

It goes beyond just the Note names, if you put a Drum Map on the Track then you will see the drum names on the Notes in the Key Editor. I find this particularly useful as I’ll often use the Key Editor to adjust Velocity levels because the Drum Editor limits which Notes you can adjust at the same time.

It can also be useful for things like showing an instrument’s range. Create a Drum Map where the Notes above X or below Y get labeled “Out of Range”
