I would like to use the string ensemble tones in this roland v combo vr 700 in cubase as midi notes for editing. by connecting the keyboard to my computer with a usb cable it acts as a midi controller for halion tones within cubase,
but I want the tones from the keyboard to be used in cubase as midi notes…
how can I do this ?? Thanks a lot 
MIDI does not have tones - if you want the sounds of your keyboard, you need an audio connection.
