How to glue without the events to part?

I have sliced an audio snare track and edited it, now I would like to reglue it but I want it to be uniform as before.
Instead of that I have now a track with a rectangle inside. How to get rid of that?

Do I understand correctly, you want to make it back into a single audio event, rather than having the separate events simply contained inside a single audio Part?
Can’t do that by glueing, but select the events (snare hits?) and Audio menu>Bounce Selection (in fact, creates a new, single audio event)
