Maybe I can’t with my current setup because I know UA APOLLO brags about letting you do this.
But, I’m working with CUBASE PRO 8, I have an RME RAYDAT PCIe sound card.
Can someone explain the routing or whatever I need to do that when I put an effect (EQ) on my INPUTS,
I can hear it on my OUTPUTS without any latency delay?
I can listen direct from my sound card but that is before the INPUTS to Cubase.
Bring down your buffer size (ie 96 damper in RME settings panel).
This only works ok when using plugins that don’t introduce much latency themselves (multiband processors etc.) and whatever you do, there’s still some latency left. It can be close to unnoticeable small in projects that don’t already use much resources. Adding more and more plugins will lead to crackles and the like until you increase buffer size > get more delay again…
