Hi Dorico folks. Still not quite over the hump yet from Finale to Dorico.
I need to strip all articulations from layer 2 of the treble clef (the green layer) I’m unable to hide layer 1. Selecting all treble clef and toggling keeps adding more & more of them.
Sorry, I can’t post the file. But this sort of thing ought to be simple enough to fix, right???
First of all, they’re Voices, not layers. (It helps to get the terminology correct.)
You could select the entire treble staff and then filter the Down-Stem Voice 1 (green).
or
Select a note in that voice and press Shift+Cmd/Ctrl+A three times. This will select all the notes in that voice to the boundaries of the flow.
Pressing it once = select more to the edges of the bar. Pressing it twice = select more to the edges of the system.
Right…“voices”.
So, Shift+Ctrl/A simply adds more articulations. Pressing the articulation again then does NOT remove them. See pic below.
Will try to see if I can filter.
It looks as though you have three sets of articulations for three voices, which indicates that you’re inadvertently selecting other voices before adding the articulations. (Just realised some of them are Playing Techniques but the fact still remains.)
Filter worked! Thank you, Daniel!!
Now for a very tiny, yet annoying issue…
The rectangular box around the token for “Layout Name” appears in the parts, but it has dropped from the score. I imagine this has something to do with the First Page template for the Default Full Score template. I toggled the checkbox Off/On in Library/Paragraph styles/Layout Name, but that didn’t fix it.
Correct. If you open the Edit Page Template dialog, select the relevant text frame, and open the Properties panel, there will likely be a border activated.
This only changes the font border; not a text frame border (which can be very similar).
