How to insert a midi note already nudged by the same amount than the existing one

Hello, I use manual nudging to counter the delay compensation of some orchestral librairies. But when I nudgea single note, I would like to have the following inserted notes to be created with the same nudged value instead of appearing dead on the grid.

Thanks

I don’t know if it’s possible to get exactly what your asking for.

What I can suggest is turning of snap (hotkey j), and then when you draw new notes the notes will start exactly on cursor.

Or set the track delay of the instrument/midi track to a negative amount that compensates for the delay of the library and the put everything on grid (but this doesn’t work for legato patches that have velocity dependant transition speed)

Hi,

Use the Track Delay parameter in the Inspector, below Volume and Pan, please.

Then all MIDI data stay at the original position, but they are sent to be processed earlier.

Unfortunately, I am using expression maps, hence different track predelay per articulation, that’s why I am asking if there a smooth way to add new midi notes without having to manually nudge every added note

Hi,

I see. Then unfortunately, there is no ather way, but do it manually.
