I see the reason why now every component of Cubase is in a separate installer.
But I am now struggling in understanding the right way of installing Cubase 11 as an update or new installation.
I checked every VSTi in regards to the version of Cubase 10.5.20 and the installer coming from Cubase 11 downloads.
So it seems you should update: Halion Sonic SE 3, Groove Agent SE 5, Padshop 2, Retrologue 2, and last not not to forget Spectral Layers.
During the (update) installaton I am seeing for the first time on PC the AAX plugin component as an optional feature (which I deselected).
Also Halion Sonic SE 3 gives the option to install as a standalone VST???
All that said, it does not look straight forward. You may either run installers with no reason or forget to install any updated versions.
I appreciate all components to be separated but there should be a main installer which takes care of all what’s needed…
Now I’ve done an awful time consuming click job and still not knowing if I did everyrhing right
