How to limit Arpache 5 to only notes that you are playing (disable Key Range?)

I have a use case wherein I’d like Arpache 5 to only select from the exact notes that are being sent to it rather than selecting the same note from different octaves so long as the Key Range allows it. Implicitly, I’d like to not have to extend the Key Range just to facilitate a played note that is outside of said range i.e. disable Key Range. As a basic example, let’s say I want to exclusively arpeggiate the two notes C1 and D2. To do this, I’d have to extend the Key Range to at least 13 to facilitate the upper D note since it’s 13 steps away from the lowest note. On top of that, I’d also get a C2 in there when I’m only playing C1 and D2 since C2 falls within the Key Range. Is there a way to disable the Key Range and only arpeggiate the actual notes that are being played rather than octaves of the same note that fall within the Key Range?

I know Arpache SX has this behavior, but a really important feature for me is random arpeggiation which is not available outside of Sequencer Mode for some reason. When using Random is Sequencer Mode, if you aren’t playing the amount of notes that the sequence is set to, it will just fill the rest of the sequence with the same note until it resets. Really funky and weird behavior and even if it did work, why would I have to go to sequencer mode to generate a random arpeggio??

Are there any good 3rd party MIDI effects that would do me better than the Steinberg suite? Any help or advice is much appreciated!

It is not possible to completely disable the fixed key range in the Cubase Arpache 5 MIDI arpeggiator, as the “Key Range” parameter is always active. This parameter determines the span in semitones starting from the lowest note. To prevent the arpeggiator from adding octaves you aren’t playing, you need to adjust the value accordingly.

To do this, set the Key Range value to 12 (exactly one octave) or lower (e.g., to match the number of notes in your chord). A value of 12 restricts the arpeggiator to the range of a single octave, preventing the generation of unwanted octave transpositions outside the range you are playing.

Alternatively, you can use the Arpache SX if you require more complex note patterns, sequences, or stricter behavior during live performance.

The key range cannot be set to 12 if the user requires it to be 13.

Is there some sort of modus operandi for turning this into a feature request? I’d really like this to be in future versions of the plugin if possible.
