How to make hairpin cross barline (but only in parts, not in score)?

Is there a global setting or an easy way to make all hairpins cross the barline in the parts but not in the score? I know I can manually adjust every hairpin in every single part but it would be splendid if this could be done with less manual labour.

I looking for this type of appearance in parts and score:

AFAIK, there is no global setting to differentiate this between parts and score.

A way to achieve this (but others might have better methods) is to set your hairpins to cross barlines in Engraving options so you don’t have to change anything for the parts. Then, in the full score, when you’re done editing, select a hairpin in Engrave mode (edit: this might also work from Write mode but I’m not at my computer to check) and select all other hairpins using Select More (Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+A). In the Properties panel, set the scope to Local and change the Barline Interaction to Stop before. That should take care of it in one go.

Thank you. That seems like a very good solution for this. I’ll try that out.

Also, thanks again for bearing with me with all these questions. I’m just finishing up my first big project in Dorico (since my transfer from Finale) so there are so many questions that keep popping up.

No need to thank anyone for that, that’s what the forum is for.

But it’s still nice when people do.
