I would like to know how to manage staves on a score ? Reduce them, enlarge them ? How to change and create a text to place on the page despite the lyrics of a song ?
The “Space size” setting in Layout Settings→Page Setup controls the size of all musical objects on the page including the staff itself while keeping the page the same size. You can use that to make all the staves larger or smaller on the page.
For text you can add either “Staff text” (which is above just one staff) or “System text” (which is above the entire system). There are currently no options for free floating text on the page.
Thank you so much,
Is there a way to reorganise each staff ? for example, five bars from for the first one, and four bars for second one, eventually five bars for the following ones till the end of the score ? Thank you for telling me how to manage ?
Hi,
Yes there is. First you’ll want to turn on “Signposts” via the menu so that you will see little flags for the manual system breaks, and then you add System Breaks via the menu as needed. For every bar that should start a new system, add a forced system break there. It will then force that bar to start a new system instead of continuing along an existing one. If you add a break where you don’t want one, you’ll need signposts on to see them and then you’ll have to select the signpost flag that represents the break and delete it.
Hi, Where have I to go to find the signposts and what about the flags you spoke to me ?
How can I add system breaks ?
The answer I missed is : Howto turn on “signposts” in order to see the flags you spoke about ? What do you mean by “system breaks” ?
In the layout-settings under “Staves Systems” set the max. number of bars per system:
Then click on a bar-line and under menu-“score” click on “System-Break” to break the bar into the next system. A system-break signpost will appear:
If the sign-post doesn’t appear check under menu-score, if “Hide Signposts” is selected:
Hi Wolfger,

I found the way to go on !
See you

Hi I got another question ! How to define the resume sections on the score ?
How to place the 1st window, the second one above the score ?
Thank youfor telling me
François
Hi, I´m not sure I really understand the question. Do you mean “repeat sign” and “1. and 2. ending”?
If so this would work like this:
Thank you, I noticed this process, but my first ending needs four bars and the second one too ! How can I separate the both “windows” ? For exemple, the first “window” begins at the beginning of the bar 26th and goes until the bar 29th and the second one begins on the bar 30th until 33rd… What do I have to do to separate the two windows ?
After inserting the endings grab the pointer-tool and adjust the first and second ending:
Thank you to show me ! But I can’t adjust after having placed the "endings… Did I miss something ?
Well, without any photos or videos it´s really hard to tell what’s going on on your side.
It works over here with dragging the handles of the endings as shown in my video.
