How to mix down to 2 channels and export to mp3

Hi,

I’ve got a basic question. How do you export to mp3 using Cubase AI (or to a wav if mp3 isn’t an option).

I tried

file --> export --> audio mixdown

But I never got past the error message, “The export range is empty. Please set the left and right locations”

I’m not even sure if this was the correct path/procedure.

I recorded two channels and desire to place those two channels into an mp3 file (or wav if mp3 isn’t possible).

Okay, I found a way to do this. First, you highlight the wav files and then press the letter “P” on the keyboard. After doing this you can proceed with

file --> export --> audio mixdown

And a wav file will get exported.
