How to modify MIDI CC Ranges in Realtime Cubase Pro 8.5

Hello, I am a new user of Cubase Pro and Roli Seaboard 49. A lot to learn over the next few weeks/months!

While playing with the Seaboard, I noticed that I wanted to modify the range of some of the MIDI CC values for 113 and 114 (XY pad) for FX control. In Ableton this is quite easy with the MIDI Controller assignment, however, I have not been able to figure out how to do this in Cubase.

Is there a way to get MIDI CC’s to have a modified range before the MIDI track goes to the synth, rather than full range?

Yes, you can do so in the Input Transformer of the track. This is small “scripting” language, where you can process incomming data. Since Cubase 8.5, you can also use MIDI Inserts and apply the to the recorded data.
