I have a saxophone part that is 3 pages but the last page is only a few bars. I’d like to condense the music so it fits onto 2 pages. all of my other parts are fine, it’s just this one that i’d like to condense. I’ve tried messing around with the frame break/system break buttons. No effing idea how any of it functions, i’ve been using this software for years, watched the videos read the manual. Can anyone help me. I swear i’m not technologically inept but Dorico makes me feel like a toddler.
I’d probably get rid of all those breaks. Just add a note spacing change at the start - nudge it down until the 3rd page disappears.
(More nuanced advice would need us to see the file)

That’s the way if you have no other choice. In your case you have some.
First of all reset the system and frame breaks by switching to Engrave Mode and selecting menu Engrave > Format Music Frame > Reset Layout.
Then go to Layout Options > Note Spacing and reduce Default space for crotchet step by step.
Another way is to go to Layout Options > Vertical Spacing and reduce the Inter-system gap.
In many cases you get the best results with a combination of both spacing ways.
