This issue is bothering me, and I haven’t found a solution.
The down-stem note has parentheses around the notehead, but for some reason the up-stem notehead also gets affected, and I cannot allow that to happen.
Is there a remedy? There probably is — preferably something other than removing the parentheses or creating an ossia stave just for that one note.
You can always reposition things in Engrave mode.
Yes, the trick was really to have lower zone open and select exatly whan I needed to move. Then magically some number fields appeared.
The issue is sadly that 99,5% of my work is composing and the last 0,5% is layout (not my favourite job). My notation entry skills have therefore evolved to much higher level and layout skills lag behind. Should have found this out myself
