Hi all, I have made a flow that is only a percussion legend for a drumset, and created a small frame that shows the legend on that player’s personal title page. How do I prevent Dorico from also showing the flow after the percussionist’s main music (which is now flow 2), and also prevent it from showing at the end of the conductor’s score? Deleting the blue frame at the end of these layouts’ music simply creates a new page afterwards with the flow appearing again. The workaround obviously is I just print these PDFs then manually delete the last page for conductor and percussionist, just wondering if there’s another way.
You can exclude any flow (like the percussion legend) from any layout (like the main score) in Setup Mode.
Either:
- select the legend flow in the bottom panel
- then uncheck the checkbox in any layout in the right hand panel that doesn’t need it
Or:
- select a layout (like the full score) on the right
- then uncheck the unwanted flow at the bottom.
Players. flows and layouts have a beautiful triangular relationship. It’s best to solve this in Setup Mode, not in Engrave, where things just get messy.
Hi @FinaleMakesMeCry, you can set in Engrave mode (editing the music frames in you page templates or directly in the music area, but be careful of overrides) your music frame filters to show only specific flows. It is advisable to have unlinked or different names for the music frames that show different specific flows (MA and MB or LA).
If you post a Dorico file, I am sure someone can give you step by step advices.
