How to open old nuendo arr file?

Hey there ,
I have got an old arr file from legendary trance project in order to make a remix , unfortunately its seems to be hardto open the file as it made in Nuendo 2 or 3.

I have tried to open it in Nuendo 13 without success . - (maybe im doing somethig wrong).
Is there a way i can open the file or at least extract the midi of it ?

Thanks!

I think Cubase SX3 was the bridge between .arr, .sng and the actuals .cpr or .npr

I thought too, but then I tried to drag the ARR file inside empty cubase SX3 and nothing happened …

I don’t remember, but is there an “import” in file tab or “open” and select other king of file?

The following might help:

Well i think that the problem related to the format , i think that the files was saved on mac 15 years ago therefore it cannot opened on windows

Is that based on certain knowledge or are you guessing?.. because that’s not really true. It’s highly dependent on the file. Did you try it in Cubase SX3?

Project files are often compatible between Mac and PC. Old arrangement files might even come from the Atari version, and these will open in Cubase SX3.

Why not simply install Cubase SX3 and test it?

I already tried to open it on cubase sx3 in windows.
unfortunately its cannot read the file …

That’s a pity. I guess it might be worth trying with a Mac version of SX3, if you can find someone with a Mac who’d be willing to help you out.
