I am writing a multi-movement work with attaca between them. I want to place a gliss. line from the last note of the first flow to the first note of the next flow. So, visually, the gliss line will be attached to nothing, ending in thin air at the end of first flow, then coming from nowhere towards first note in second flow. Dorico won’t let me do it, but there most be a trick around it, such as creating an invisible note and attaching the gliss to that. How do I do that? Or, is there an even simpler trick for it?
I’ve never tried this, but I’d guess you could create a wavy horizontal line placed under the last measure in a flow, then in Engrave Mode stretch, angle, and position it as you’d like. (You’d need to do that after all other staff-position-related engraving work is done.)
