How to prevent chord track from trigerring my bass midi instrument?

hey guys how do i prevent chord track from playing notes on my midi bass which is on kontakt?
C13.0.2 Pro, Macbook pro

Set the MIDI Input of the track to Chord Pads.
Obviously this is about chord track, not chord pads. Oops.

If you are using “Use Monitored Tracks” for Chord Track output.
Then turn off monitoring on the bass track.
Else in Chord Track, only select which track you want for chords.

Note: Looks like you can only trigger 1 track with the Chord Track if you want to record on the bass track. If you need more than that, you will need a work-around.

You can just Mute the Chord Track.

Yes. The workaround is to

1. Route the Chord Track to a ‘dummy’ MIDI Track
2. Create a Virtual MIDI Cable (I use LoopMIDI, but there are several others)
3. Route the MIDI Track to the Virtual Cable’s Input
4. Now the Virtual MIDI Port will be available as a MIDI Source just like your hardware

I have this setup in my Templates so I can freely route the Chord Track in any Project.
