How to prevent notes from merging with an upper melody after having moved them up?

Hi!

I have a super fast run for piano in two hands. In the middle of the run (which is like an almost glissando scale) the left-hand notes need to move up a stave. But when I do that, the two lines emerge, which I do not want. So I’m trying to achieve this:

but instead get this:

I haven’t found the solution, yet, does some beautiful soul have an idea?

Cheers!

Hi Tom,

Thank you! My mistake was to use Alt+N instead of just N…so simple.

Also I want to note that this is the first example I have seen of an octave line below the notes indicating the octave above!

For recopying, I would omit the octave line underneath and just let the upper line handle both, since they’re on the same staff and the meaning is obvious.
