how to remove lyrics when copying a vocal staff

Subject says it - I have a long passage with lyrics that I want to copy to a violin part - but without the lyrics. Or delete the lyrics after copying..
What is the easiest way to do this ?

In the absence of any filters, which we hope we will be able to add soon, your best bet is probably to switch to galley view after making the copy, and use marquee selection to select the lyrics, then delete them.
