How to remove tempotrack info in the score editor?

I can’t get rid of the tempotrack entries in the new score editor. Any advice ?
Cubase 14.0.20.
Thank’s in advance!

There isn’t an option to disable all the tempo events, but they can be individually hidden. Select the Tempo track in the Project Window and you can select tempo items and hide them in the info line.

We’ve had requests to add an option to hide all tempo events, and that’s on our list to consider for a future version.

Oh boy.. :frowning:
Please get this fixed as soon as you can !
I’ve used the “tempo detect function” to sync Cubase to an audiofile, so there are literally over 300 of them!
There’s absolutely no use for them in the score. They just clutter everything up.

I don’t see an option to hide them in the info line ?

I hope a good rule of thumb could be that any visual item automatically inserted into a score, other than the notes themselves, could have a preference to hide them globally. For now what comes to mind are chord symbols, tempo markings, expression map symbology, sustain pedal markings, and signposts (some of those might be covered already, not remembering entirely)

Yes, that is my current thinking

Ahh Steve - you nailed it!
Thank’s!

Maybe you also know how to hide the timecode that shows up with every rehearsal marker in the score ?
Timecode frequency is set to “never”.

I only quoted @PaulWalmsley’s text and added an image for exam

hm… not seeing that here. Please create a separate topic for that question to keep things organized.

Hi,

I’d add:
In my opinion, it’s also important that you can enter completely independent metronome markings in the score, despite the tempo track. Because the project’s MIDI playback should be completely independent of any note/score settings.

This is equally important for chord symbols in the score. These should also be independent of the general chord track.

(and long time question/request: Why, why Steinberg, is there only one tempo and chord track possible)

Hello Paul,

I do long for the day when I can open Dorico in Cubase and visa versa. Thank you for the expression maps. Its not an easy task.
