I have 1 long pedal lasting throughout 3 staves. is there a way to remove the word PED at the beginning of each stave? (I found nothing in Property Menu, Engrave , Edit menu or with write click)
You’re right: at present, you can only choose between a parenthesised or non-parenthesised symbol.
THanks. For future I would prefer to have an option also without PED on each stave beginning, cause when my students see the sign PED they automatically retake it, so I have to remove it phisically with the white pencil

Is this what you’re looking for?
Select the pedal line and set the property Sign appearance to Ped. Text, set Continuation text to a space, and activate but do not check Show continuation sign in parentheses. In Library > Font Styles > Pedal Line Font, set the Font to Bravura Text and the Size to 15.5pt Staff-relative. Go to the SMuFL page for keyboard techniques, copy the ornate Ped. glyph (U+E650) and paste it into the Text property for the pedal line. Finally, adjust the vertical position of the continuation lines in engrave mode.
