Hello…it was my mistake, but I was deleted one macro from factory Cubase macros. Tried to reinstall Cubase but nothing. I am on Mac. What I need to do? Want to back the default macros?
Hi,
- Quit Cubase.
- Rename/remove the Cubase Preferences folder (for example to: 2024-07-05_Cubase 13_64).
- Start Cubase.
→ You get the factory settings. This includes also the KeyCommands.xml file, where are the Macros stored.
If you then want to use your original custom settings, but also the Macro, quit Cubase, copy the Key Commands.xml file over to your backuped original Preferences folder. Then remove the newly created Preferences folder (with the defaults) and rename your original folder back (from 2024-07-05_Cubase 13_64 back to Cubase 13_64).
Cubase Preferences folders are:
Mac: ~/Library/Preferences/Cubase X
Win: %appData% \Steinberg\Cubase X_64
Where the X is the Cubase version (for example 13).

Thank you very much!
Alternatively you could also tell us which macro is gone. Then somebody can post a screenshot of the content of the macro and you could quickly rebuild it yourself.
