I want to change “snapshots” on my Line6 Helix pedal while a project is playing. Snapshots are saved parameter changes within a preset - sometimes called, “Scenes”. Helix receives them on CC69, from 0-7.
I have the bank and preset setup in the Inspector under the Routing tab, and they work, but I can’t figure out how to send a value on CC69. I’ve tried having a note play and assigning it to CC69 and then adjusting the velocity of the note, but that doesn’t do anything.
I sure could use some help!
This is a case where the humble MIDI List Editor gets to shine.
- Create a new MIDI Part on the Track you are routing to your Helix
- Open in the MIDI List Editor
- Set the Insert Type to Controller
- Using the Pencil Tool create a new MIDI Event on the Timeline
- Edit the Subtype to cc69
- Under Main Value put your Scene Number
Now you can copy this MIDI Part anywhere you want to make this change. And you can also build yourself a library of all your different Scene changes and/or other Helix controls.

Kindly mark raino’s reply as the solution. And give him a heart, if you like.
