Is there a way of setting a marker at any chosen point, so one can play back just from that point when one is editing a phrase for example ?
This doesn’t totally answer your question, but hitting shift-space will restart playback from the same place it started previously, regardless of note selection or cursor position. (And option-shift-space will start playback from the beginning.)
