How to set project tempo from tap tempo

I often use project beat calculator to determine the bpm I want to set at the start of a new project by using the tap tempo function. It would be great if once the beat was calculated there was an option to set the project bbm without having to go to the transport panel. I know there’s an option to create a tempo track but I don’t really need one.

Hi,

Use the Beat Calculator from the Project window, please. Then click to Tap Tempo. Use Space bar or the mouse click to tap the tempo. Click OK. Click to At Selection Start. Done.

Thanks for the quick reply Martin. I thought that was also going to create a tempo track. I’ll try it next time. Makes sense you can do it from there.
