How to stop pitch from altering during export in Cubase 5

I don’t understand. I recorded my tracks in 16bit 44.1Khz. When I export the mixdown in either wav or mp3 format (also at 16bit 44.1Khz) the resulting file’s pitch is lower by two semi-tones.

Does anybody know how I can correct that?

And is it also longer? - Make sure the samplerates of the file and the playing device match.

I thought I should have mentioned that Sven was right and I was stupid. I’ve been struggling to get my new Behringer X18 Air to work with Cubase. After finally getting everything to work I totally forgot that the mixer was set at 48Khz. Everything is resolved. Thanks Sven!
