I’ve always just dragged a wav file after export in Cubase onto the Wavelab icon to open the file. Since upgrading to 12/13 from 9.5 every single time I do this Wavelab also opens the last file I worked on. Why? and how to stop this? It’s frustrating, it makes no logical sense why it would do this. I went through the settings and can’t find anything. I don’t use the startup assistant. Again, this never happened with 9.5. Thanks.
Sorry, I have Elements 13 and I do not have that option in my Global settings. Again, this only happens when dragging a file onto the Wavelab icon to open, which is faster than lauching and choosing file → Open and navigating to the file.
Indeed, this option is only available in WaveLab Pro.
What you can do is open WaveLab and then use drag and drop, which is faster than navigating to the file.
Yeah, I’ll just live with it. Just another click or two to close the files it opens, just don’t know what it’s happening now when it didn’t with Wavelab 9.5. I actually upgraded to 12 within one week before 13 was released and don’t recall it happening with 12 either. I reached out to Steingberg and they were kind enough to upgrade me to 13 no charge.
