I’m on Cubase 15 Pro on Windows 11. I’m pretty sure in previous versions I could right click an audio event to open the tool menu then, whilst still holding right click, either hover over the object selector or left click it, and it would open a submenu of the three object selection tools. Then I could select one (can’t remember if it was highlight or left click) and that would select that tool and then close the tool bar. Same for the other tools on the bar that had multiple variations.
But I can’t seem to do that now; hovering does nothing, and left click just closes the toolbar.
Am I missing something? How can I get that function back?!
Hi,
You can change the behaviour in the Preferences > Editing > Tools > Show Toolbox on Right-Click.
If this option is enabled (default settings), you get the menu when Ctrl + Click. If this option is disabled, you get the menu when Right-Click.
Thanks for that. Unfortunately this didn’t work. I still can’t cycle through the toolbar options except by using the number keys, regardless of whether ‘Show Toolbox on Right-Click’ is checked or not.
Hi,
I see, you want to roll over the:
- Normal Sizing
- Sizing Moves Content
- Sizing Applies Time Stretch
right?
If this is the case, then this is not possible to do via the right-click menu. This is a known issue.
Aha, thanks for that.
Yes, that’s exactly what I wanted to do; pretty sure we used to be able to do so.
Good to know it’s not just me going mad then
