How to use multiple midi drum tracks with one VST?

Hi,

Is it possible to setup multiple midi drum tracks with only one instance of Battery 4?

When I duplicate tracks or create a new track a new instance of Battery 4 is added to the instruments rack.

I know I can use one drum track and route outputs from Battery to individual outputs, but that’s not my issue.

And how do I delete an empty rack instrument after deleting a VST in the rack?

Hi and welcome,

It looks, like you are duplicating an Instrument track. Add a MIDI Track. Make sure the Out is set to Battery (it should be, by default, if the selected track was Battery). And make sure you set the MIDI Channel to 1 (I hope Battery is operating on MIDI Channel 1).

Unfortunately you can’t delete an empty Instrument Rack.
