I’m coming from the world of Logic/ ProTools and have finally migrated to Cubase 12pro.
So…
…my question is…
How can I display/see VST instruments in the mixer without using the side panel or naming the channel?

I am not 100% sure what you are trying to achieve, but if you mean “how do I open the GUI of a VST instrument in the mix console”, then you can do that by long clicking (or CTRL/CMD+click I think also works) on the edit button (the “e”) just above the fader. Of course that only works on an instrument channel.

In ProTools and Logic when you are in the mixer window all plugins (Inserts ,EFX, VST(AU/AAX Instruments) are displayed [text].
I can change all plugins from within the mixer window.
Is there a way to change a VST synth in the mixer?
I hope this makes a bit more sense.
Any ideas guys and dolls?
