How/When shall I receive the Cubase LE 12 upgrade from LE 11 e-licencer

Hi @redbananatwitch @euphony, I have updated the licenses in your account. You can just download and install Cubase LE 14 from the Steinberg Download Assistant.

Thank you! I could!

Hi @Matthias_Quellmann, I have Cubase Elements 11 Full version and I have just heard about the E-licensing thing changing.
Could you please help me and advise how I can still use my cubase please

Welcome to the Forum

You can still buy the update to Cubase 14 Elements via the Steinberg Website. Just click the Buy button, select the button for Cubase 14 Elements and make sure to chose Update.

Hi and welcome to the forum @GTS ,

if you don’t have a USB eLicenser and use a Soft eLicenser please make sure that you don’t setup a new OS, exchange the system drive etc before your Elements license is registered in your MySteinberg account (you should do that with an USB eLicenser, too). If your license is registered you can update anytime like @JuergenP suggested.

With a Soft eLicenser you can only run Elements 11 on your current system given that you don’t update your OS etc (see above).
A USB eLicenser will work on every system.

I don’t really want to buy/upgrade to a new product, I’m very happy with my Cubase 11 and would like to use it. But I cannot register it once downloaded…

Unfortunately I have not got it downloaded as it was on a previous computer that I no longer have access to. I wanted to download it today and use it again and now I’ve come across this problem that I cannot use my license anymore

I’m afraid I’ll have to be the bearer of bad news: you can’t reactivate Elements 11 anymore on a different computer witbout a USB eLicenser.
Have you checked your MySteinberg account? Hopefully, you’ll find your license there in case you want to update in the future.

Yes, that is because the eLicenser server is no longer available.

Cubase 11 Elements used a Soft eLicenser and that requires the eLicenser server to activate it. So this is no longer possible, but the update is still possible.

Thank you for your replies and help. But surely they can’t force me to upgrade? I mean I paid for 11 in full and now they just changed it so I can’t access my product unless I fork over more money. That can’t be right?

I’m sorry, but the change for the new system started 2022 and the message about the eLicenser shutdown was shown all over the place for one and a half years.

Cubase 11 is no longer supported, so I can understand your frustration, but unless support has a different way, this is the state now. You can open a support ticket, maybe there is something that can be done there.

I’ll be honest I haven’t used the software since 2021, but for a change this drastic I would think that they would at least send me emails warning me about this because I didn’t see anything about this until I decided to re-download the software today. I really hope support will be able to help because I don’t feel this is fair considering I bought a product and no matter how long ago it is still technically mine. Thank you for your help, I’m obviously not angry at you but I am very disappointed in Steinberg if this cannot be resolved.

Edit: It seems I cannot open a support ticket here in South Africa. This is getting to be quite a problem

@Matthias_Quellmann I’ve been advised to tag you

Hi!
Firstof, I’m French, so please excuse my english. I’ll do my best to be understandable.
I bought a new computer and I want to re activate Cubase LE ( I used to have it on my previous dying computer). The product is registered in my Steinberg account.
I know elicenser service is no longer available but is there any other way to activate Cubase LE?
Please help.
Thanks
