Recently I bought a new laptop just for recording. Here are the details of this laptop…


HP: Presario CQ62 NOTEBOOK PC
WINDOWS 7
Procesor 2.1 GHz
Installed memory (ram) 2.00 GB
64 bit operating system

Is this sufficient for recording on Cubase?

If not, is there anything i could do to make it faster and more powerful?

Note: I will be recording drums mainly…

Well, the best thing is to try it and see! It should work, although one reads that laptops aren’t universally encouraged for use with DAWs, because the hard drives tend to be too slow. Try it and tell us what happens!
