Hyperthreading

Here is an FYI for anyone with multicore processors regarding hyperthreading:

I wrote to support today:
I have an I7 processor. I have been reading the forums and
there seems to be mixed answers as to running hyperthreading or not with Cubase
Studio 5. What is Steinbergs take on this? Hyper on or off.

And Steinberg support answered:
Even with the newer processors i would consider having it turned off.

Interesting, I’m sure I read in the info base that it’s worth trying both on and off and see what gives best performance on a particular system!

Although im using Cubase 6, for me Hyperthreading works well.
