I am a user transitioning from Finale to Dorico. I’m amazed at all the stuff it can do, but frustrated with the complexity of the user interface and configuration. I have a playback template installed, and activated in my project, but no sound. I’ve tried different templates. No sound.
Any ideas? I’m sure it is something I’ve missed or do not understand. Any help would be appreciated.
Check Edit→Device Setup and Device Control Panel inside the Device Setup.

Have been in both. What am I looking for. ASIO driver is currently set for Steinberg Built-In and my speakers are listed and selected in the device control panel.
Then I guess you have to wait for a response from @Ulf. Sorry, only know Mac.

It would probably help to do Help > Create Diagnostic Report and upload the resulting zip file here.
How do I upload a file?
You can drag it directly into the message edit box, or you can click the upload button in the toolbar.

@N727RV , please go to Edit > Device Setup and in that dialog click on the Device Control Panel button, yet another small window opens.
In there, leave the output ports as they are, but in the lower list, the input ports, make sure that nothing is selected or connected, so you need to clear the checkmarks in front of every input port. When you then prompt both dialogs and try again playback, how’s that then?
