I can only move written notes down

Hello!

I changed my Dorico note entry controls in the past, and now I can only move notes down (Alt + Down arrow key), even though I have reset the factory settings several times to fix it.

What could be the problem, and how can it be solved?

Hi !

Has alt-up arrow already worked ? If not, there might be something in the system that uses it and prevents Dorico from using it. My first blind guess.

Are you on windows or mac?

I’ve read problems with Graphic Cards shortcuts on windows, you might want to disable them

IIRC there can be some problems with particular keyboard localisations on Windows, where the OS hijacks certain keystrokes. If you search the forum you might find the answer.
