I can’t see track event data, Visual bugs

Hi,
I can’t see the event data - wave form/midi on my tracks in the arranger window. All my tracks are black. The only way i can reveal data is to change colour of the tracks.
Another thing I noticed , when following tutorials online, when enabling cue tracks, they are also colourless when they should be green as seen in other ppl’s set ups on youtube.

What can i do?

Do you use Cubase Pro 10.0.60 or Cubase 10.5.12, please?

Hi,

Double-check these preferences:
Event Display > MIDI > Part Data Mode: set it to Blocks.
Event Display > Audio > Show Waveform: Make sure it’s enabled.

the weird thing is, If I decide to colour them with the tool, then the data appears…
Maybe it’s worth noting I did port an old preference file from Cubase 6 to 10, but I don’t know why it would cause this.

Safe mode disabling preferences didn’t work. No midi data showing…black colour tracks.

Hi do I need to uninstall everything? or can I reinstall over??

I did safe mode again and this time deleted the preferences!!! It worked! Last time I disabled it but didn’t work, so what does this mean? Do I just do my prefs again?

Oh no, I noticed watching a youtube video that activated cue mix volumes sliders are turn Green and mine are black. Very disappointed with Cubase 10 so far. Only used it a handful of times and there’s tons of visual bugs :angry:

Hi,

Just use the uninstaller.

If you want to also trash your preferences, to get the factory settings afterwards, delete this folder:
%appData% Steinberg/Cubase 10_64.
