Dorico Diagnostics.zip (275.0 KB)
I have been having problems opening dorico 5. All was fine until a couple of days ago. First there was a message something about the VST audio engine. Now it just doesn’t open at all. However, if I restart the computer the problem is solved, except that if I close the file and want to reopen it I can’t. I’m on Windows 11. This diagnostics attachment was created automatically after the initial problem. I appreciate your help with this.
Could it be that you close Dorico and immediately try to launch it again?
This is a kind of action that Dorico resp. the audio engine does not like.
How well can you reproduce your issue? Could you show me in a remote screen sharing session?
Thanks so much for your prompt reply.
No, I am not closing and immediately opening Dorico.
Here’s what’s happening:
The problem began with the program crashing, which is what generated the diagnostics report I sent you.
After that, if I restart the computer I can open the document, and it comes up with the message that you can see in the screenshot I’m sending you. Now the blue circle is spinning around and it’s frozen.
Yes, a screen sharing session would be appreciated.
PS this is happening with multiple documents.
Thanks so much for your prompt reply.
