I can't edit any notes in this editor

I’m not familiar with the new score editor (even though I know Dorico). At the moment, I can’t edit any notes in this editor. I select my instrument track in the keyboard editor, but nothing happens. There must be a lock or protection feature, but I can’t see it.

Update: it seems that the changes are actually effective, but they don’t appear… What a strange machine…

If you could use the Cubase terminology it would be helpful.

You have to select the midi part in the Project view and open the Score Editor. Is that what you do?

Not easy. Steinberg’s translation is itself strange. A MIDI part, in French, is a container! And I would have to change the interface language for each question. But I’ll make a note of it.

Yes, that’s what I do. I noticed that I can play with the pitch of the notes, but there is no visual change, even though the sound does indeed correspond to the change.

P.S. Could the use of Expression maps have something to do with it? I’ll check.

Update: With the session imported into Nuendo 14, everything is fine.

Update 2 : Without Expression maps, it’s the same. I see that it’s a bug in the interface, which doesn’t respond immediately without some kind of change, such as switching to another window.

Cubase 15. Mac Studio M2 Ultra (128 GB), Sequoia 15.7.4.

After several tests, I can confirm that this is a bug. The Score Editor does not show changes made directly or in the Keyboard Editor. You have to switch windows and then return to see the changes.

I will open a ticket with technical support.

Solved. Support responded by asking me to start over with a new project, and I had no problem doing so. It seems that my project was corrupted. I had tried new projects, but hey, that’s the mystery of computing.
