I do not hear the CLICK

I have Cubase LE 5 with a Tascam US-122mkII on Windows XP.

When recording a bass guitar, all goes well: I can hear the bass through my headphones, and I can record and play back what was played.

I have the CLICK set to ON, but I don’t hear any. Not when I’m recording and not when I’m playing back.

These are my metronome settings:

What am I doing wrong here?
