"i" fingering not on top

“i” never on top see picture, any suggestion other than in engrave mode (manually)

I tried a bunch of different options – to no avail. It only seems to affect ‘i’, ‘m’ positions above the beam by default.

As a side note, an alternative fingering that I’ve always used for that piece:

It prevents the awkward i-m on the B-A in the 2nd 16th figure. The pattern can also be continued until the end of that sequence.

many thanks David, may be it’s an programming issue, would be nice to hear from the headquarter, whether it can be fixed

good fingerings, thanks

I believe this is happening because the fingering is centered above the notehead; both “a” and “m” are wider, so they don’t - or won’t - drop down the way “i” is doing in your example.
