In an audiomontage I use stereo files.
So I export a new file from Cubase to the destination where WaveLab knows it and when using stereo files it’s ok.
Now, like an user error 
I’ve exported a mono file and open Wavelab with the montage which normally knows about the file is in stereo.
In this case, when the source is mono and WaveLab thinks this is a stereo file, WaveLab crashes.
Ok, my fault, but it would be nice, if we see an error message like “Source format didn’t match”.
Indeed, but very special case!
Yes that is true, wavelab does crash with mono files read back when it was a stereo file before…
