I have a click after a sample plays.. and it's not real?

This is a big problem that I can’t really reproduce as I don’t know at what point it started.

I have a sample playing - in this example, a regular kick drum.

It’s not clipping, there are no effects on the channel, on the master out, nowhere.

I am experiencing an annoying “click/pop” sound at the end of the sample being played. Resulting in a kick-pop, kick-pop, kick-pop sound… I tried everything, fading the sample out, using a sidechain to cut the end… everything.

Then, I open the Channel Edit window. And it disappears.

So, is this a graphic driver error, a memory error? How much of the rest of my track is being affected by this problem and me not knowing about it?

Apparently we can’t add links?
Well, I did make a video of the error. You can work out the link if you want to see it.

Is there any way to fix this?
What causes it?
Is it affecting other tracks and I can’t hear it?

Have you checked your audio buffer size of your sound card in Cubases Studio setup ? Could you cut the beginning and end of the sample with Zero Crossing activated ?

You could also run Latency mon to check to see what might be causing issues in the background
Resplendence Software - LatencyMon: suitability checker for real-time audio and other tasks

Yes, to avoid spam and misuse.
It affects new users.

Of course I will not open such links.

Since the link provided by @marmiteaddict required a file download I removed it.
