I imported a Page Template Set, but don't know how to apply it

I successfully (I think) imported a page template set from another project:

but, as the screenshot shows, I can’t select it from the dropdown. (I was expecting ‘Default Part (imported)’ to be on it.) I’m trying to create a title page using this custom template in the same way as I’ve always done that task by selecting ‘none’ and creating the text from scratch using text boxes. But in this context I’m not able to proceed any further than shown on the screenshot.
For context, the first page of music already has overrides, but of course the title page would become the new page 1, so I wouldn’t expect the overrides to be the cause of this situation. Where have I gone wrong?
(BTW, the extra icons - the camera and movie camera etc. - belong to the screenshot app, and can be safely ignored)

Any individual page templates within your imported set remain in that set: to use them in the native sets in this project, you either need to import the page template across (ie another layer down from importing the set) or set this layout to use your imported set entirely.

Hi @Gareth_Glyn, following the suggestions by @Lillie_Harris I made a short video showing the workflow, in case it could visually be helpful, for two scenarios:

  1. to import only one page template in your currently used Page Template Set (probably the native/factory one) from a different imported Page Template Set (that has your customised Page Templates).

or

  1. to set the whole imported Page Template Set as current

Also I would suggest not to create new pages to use the imported Page Template, but just insert a Page Template Change right clicking on the desired page (the numbered pages little icons), and choosing Current Page Only. So you dont have overrides, and Dorico will take care of shifting the subsequent material to new pages, as necessary.

(please in the video ignore the result of applying my bad configured custom page template: I have forgotten to assign the music frames to MA, so that it starts again from bar 1, and shows the flow heading  )

Thanks @Lillie_Harris and @Christian_R (and particularly for the video, Christian). I clearly need to learn a lot more about page templates and template sets in general: it’ll be worth my while in the long run.
