I opened up an automation lane of a send to an effect I called “poop”, and the lane is called “sends1”.
Is that what you’re talking about?
Do you have the preference “reveal parameter on write” active? It makes it very easy to show the automation lane you want when writing. I can’t say send names for automation has really bothered me as I’m never having to search through a list.
I agree! Nuendo 5 at least had the sends numbered in the inspector. That disappeared (I think) with nuendo 6. I’m constantly having to count which number send I want to automate. It does seem pretty basic.
