I made a cup of Tea and Cubase crashed!

Hi guys!

A strange one here.

I was working on a project and everything was going fine. I had a little break and went to go make myself a cup of tea and i was gone barely 10-15 minutes then i came back to a vanished Cubase. It was just gone!.

My PC didnt go into any kind of sleep mode. All i did was leave it idle for the time i was away making a cup of tea.

I checked the Crashdumpfile folder and didnt get a dumpfile…weird

Anybody have this happen before?.

Nope, never happened here.
Maybe it was a scheduled Windows Update and the Pc was turned off and on again in the process? Just a wild guess.

What on earth was in the tea? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

This is why I don’t drink and Cubase!

@AdamMassacre when you launched Cubase after that, did the safe mode dialog display?

If the program had crashed that’s what you would see, even if there were no crash log created.

see image of safe mode dialog

Hahaha Yorkshire Tea of course

Hahahaha

Yeah it popped up telling me there was a crash i just assumed a dumpfile would be created so i just skipped the screen Sadly no Crashdump was given.

Does Cubase also crash when you make a different kind of tea?

Nothing but Yorkshire in my cup lol

It was happening to me when I had IK Multimedia T-Racks 6 plugins in a project. Even when disabled, they were crashing projects in the idle state, at random times.

But it was on Mac.

Literally, me too.

Got back from work, took a shower, brewed a nice cuppa, fired up Cubase… and voilà. It crashed before I even finished my tea.

Yorkshire? (for the database)

As a big tea fan, Im curious about Yorkshire now!!

The absolute best brew   even if it does crash Cubase lol

The bestest brew

So weird! i wasn’t even mad i was just dumbfounded like what the!!!.. lol

Ive just updated Kontakt 8 full…i hope its not NI being silly again.

Asking for our American friends.
Is coffee ok?
Seriously.. I’ve not had this with Cubase but certainly left a Windows PC alone only to return and find that it’s rebooted itself.

Give it a go and see what happens but save your project before ya pop the kettle on  Yeah PC’s are weird they just do what they want whenever they want lol.
