I’m new to Cubase and am trying to use Prologue, but don’t have any external instruments, only my laptop. How can I play sounds on Prologue?

You can use internal Cubase Virtual MIDI Keyboard. Use Alt+K KeyCommand it to show/hide it on the Tansport Panel. Then you can also use your computer Keyboard, once the Virtual MIDI Keyboard is shown.
