Welcome to the forum, @DeepBlue01!
Which version of Dorico are you using?
It may be that the file itself is corrupt. Do you have a backup copy, or an earlier version?
You could send the file to Daniel Spreadbury, who may be able to recover it. Send to:
d dot spreadbury at steinberg dot de
(replacing the punctuation words for symbols.)
Make sure you add a link to this post in the email.
Hello @DanielMuzMurray
I am using Dorico 6.2. This happened after I updated my iPad to OS 26.4.
I do not have a copy, but I may have an eariler version of the file. This happened to many of my files and I do not have eariler versions or PDFs for that matter.
I’ll check out the email you just sent me. Thanks for the help!
If it’s just one file, then Daniel may be able to help, but don’t send him lots!
It would be unusual for lots of files to become corrupt – so perhaps something else is happening.
Hello DeepBlue01, and welcome to the forum.
I had the same error message after updating Dorico on iPad to 6.2.10 and iPadOS to version 26.
My workaround was: I went into the Files app, navigated to the Dorico project file, made a duplicate and moved it to this location:
On my iPad/Dorico/
Then went back to Dorico and selected “Open or Import file” again, this time navigating to the File copy in “On my iPad/Dorico“.
And with this copy it worked.
I described it in this recent thread:
