More bits is not more performance. More bits is more address space and 64 bit address space is enough to hold more than 2 000 000 track years of 96k/24 audio. I don’t think you’re going to need more anytime soon.
If you want “unlimited” performance, you should buy one of these: IBM Blue Gene - Wikipedia And guess what? It’s still 64-bit computer.
